Soon to be Mr. and Mrs.

Here are a few shots to capture the wonderful and exciting time leading up to marriage. No matter how much of a creative funk you feel you are in... when you have a good looking couple you are bound to turn out some cute photos. And Missy and Jimmy certainly are that.

It Grew Over Night!

My previous belly shots seemed to be a little redundant... my belly wasn't growing at a very rapid rate. Until the last few weeks! So I have added the updated belly size to my original post.

Only The Beginning

I told myself that when I began the great journey of motherhood I would be very diligent in recording everything. I would write about my first feelings when I found out I was pregnant. I would record the story of Cory's face when I told him. I would write about the incredible moment when we first heard the little heartbeat and mine and Cory's glossy eyes met in awe. I would write about what it was like when I first began to feel my little baby inside of me. I would strive to take a picture with words of Cory's face the first time he saw the movement of my tummy and felt our little baby pushing against his hand. I would expound upon all of the various emotions I was experiencing as each week passed. I would find relief in penning all of my concerns upon the page regarding the impending responsibility of a little life.

But alas, 28 weeks has come and gone quickly. I have neglected to do any of these things. It has been enough for me to take care of myself, my husband, my house, my business, and keep my emotional state under control. But what excuses are those in the grand scheme of things?

I will say that every time I happen to see the movement of my tummy from the outside, I unconsciously smile at how amazing it is to see a tiny glimpse of the little life we created.

I am under no false delusion that I will be better in the coming weeks and months. Life will go from busy to busier at that point. But a picture and a note every now and then will aid in reminding me of what this journey has been like.

Engagement - a Precious Time

I had the pleasure of capturing love while it is at such a wonderful, fresh, exciting place in time - Engagement. Kali and David were in Big Bear for the week between Christmas and New Years, so we braved the crazy crowds to get a few moments in time. We wanted a winter background, but snow melts swiftly in Big Bear, but I was so glad we were able to find a bit of snow here and there.

One Change at a Time

Well I have officially fallen off the blogging wagon. I have let life, all of the busy little nothings and the huge somethings get in the way of my inspiration and dedication. Which is so silly. It makes me sad to think that I will have blogged about the recipes I liked, the little trips I have taken, the momentary passions, all the random and essentially meaningless topics, and then have missed out on writing about some of the most important and life changing times in my life.

Life has been crazy lately. And the thing is…. It is only about to get crazier. In more huge ways than one. But I will start with one.

And so here I am to share the biggest life change that will ever come into mine and Cory’s happy home. It has taken me a long time to get to a place of readiness for this change. And even then, I am not quite there. Are you ever really ready though?

I am nervous and excited. Cory is over the moon with his excitement and anticipation. God has abundantly blessed us and I am so thankful. We are eagerly looking forward to this next phase in our lives and the plan that God has for us. 

I wanted to take pictures to announce our news months ago.... but alas, life once more got in the way. So here I am, fifteen weeks along with my "announcement". Better late than never.

Little Angel Baby

Well another little bundle of joy has enlarged our ever growing family. Roland was an angel during the entirety of his newborn shoot. I was so blessed to have my dear friend and amazing photographer, Rebecca, throughout the session. I learned so much!

I was so happy with the way these pictures turned out. I had lots of help, because he is definitely a very photogenic little buddy.
