Well here I go, all fired up for yet another rant. And it is not even going to be a useful one. It is something that most women can relate to, but no one has a solution. But really I have something to say about the differences in men’s and women’s bodies… *Pause as I chuckle to myself…I literally just this second realized how the previous sentence (accompanied with the title) sounds.* Awesome. Happy accident. But before your minds go off into any other place (I cannot imagine where), I am not going to be talking about anything that interesting. Yeah…it’s just about food.
Dinner tonight.
What his looked like:
And mine:
It may look like a subtle difference.... but trust me. It is not.
Sloppy Joes. Something about that organic ground beef, drenched in a
combination of tasty sauces which has been roasting in the crock pot all day,
smelling up the house with fumes of deliciousness. And yet… half of the beauty
is that you get to pile that heap onto a thick slice of freshly homemade
bread…. Well some of us do.
It just isn’t the same with cabbage….
Anyway, I know I do this to myself. Refrain. Abstain. Be disciplined.
Be silly. Whatever you want to call it. But the fact of the matter is, Cory can
eat half a loaf of bread a day, work out half as much as I do, and STILL
maintain his weight. Ugghh. It is so frustrating!
Anyway, sorry to be “that girl.” It is just one of those things we
women have to deal with; the incongruent metabolisms that God blessed us with.
On another note. The Sloppy Joes were delicious. And if you are interested in giving them a whirl, you can find the recipe here.
P.S... If you do, I say screw it and eat the bread.
haha!! My husband probably eats twice as much as I do...but he's also a lot bigger than I am, so he's probably burning more calories just by being bigger.
ReplyDeleteIt is not only how much they can eat, but also what they can eat! It is just one of those things. Funny the random places we find inspiration.... if you can call this "inspiration" haha.
