If You Brush Your Teeth Every Day....

So, you guys know how I feel about squatting, and working out in general: DO IT. That pretty much sums it up.

I am also very interested in being productive and efficient with my time (yes, I do think a sit at Starbucks with the girls can be very productive). Multitasking is a great way of being efficient, and the ability to multitask is thankfully part of us women's genetic makeup.

I found this awesome picture on line that should convince every woman to do squats.... but I am afraid I cannot re-post it due to the questionable amount of airbrushed booty it shows. But really, I saw that picture and I wanted to do extra squats that day just to make sure I kept myself perky and lifted.

So for all of you who have not yet hopped on the band wagon of squatting because you just can't seem to fit it into your schedule... this post is for you.

Eight things you can do while squatting. Not only that, most of them are things that you do every day anyway, so why not put forth a little extra effort and get that booty down to the ground?

-  Squat while brushing your teeth. This is a very handy one. I can get between seventy-five and a hundred squats done before my toothbrush timer stops. And sometimes, it even compels me to brush my teeth for a little bit longer on ‘whitening mode’ until a finish all my squats.

-  Squat while folding laundry. I did this last night and it was awesome. It forced me to get a little lower to the ground to pick up some articles of clothing and drop them down neatly folded.

-  Squat while memorizing scripture. This is a great way to get your mind of the pain in your rear and focus on some of your favorite scriptures.

-  Squat while brushing your hair. I should probably do this one a little more often…

-  Squat while watching tv. If you spend many of your evening in front of the screen, it is a perfect time to shun the couch potato tendency and turn it into fitness hour.

-  Squat while listening to teaching tapes. I tried to squat while reading, but I kept losing count and getting distracted. So I have found that this is a great time to listen to the word.

-   Squat while braiding your hair. This one is probably only for a fairly advanced squatter.

-  Squat while making phone calls, business or other. This one is especially nice if you are paying bills, on hold, or taking care of any other tedious activity on the phone.

Talk about being good with your time. Happy Squatting!

  4. Haha maybe it's just me, but I'm so weirded out by the word "squat" that is rather do any other workout! I think I'll rename them booty busters, instead!

    1. That is so funny! But I like booty busters. And that is certainly what they do!

  5. You're committed! I totally believe in exercising during a little evening tv, that's for sure. If I've ever "just" watching tv and not doing something else, I feel like it's such a waste of time--I don't like just sitting still!

  6. That is a great idea, Jonni! Doing an exercise while brushing one's teeth is like hitting two birds with one stone, since it allows one to have good oral health and a fit body. Visiting trusted clinics for check-up and cleaning is also a good habit. Thanks for sharing! :) Bettye Primm
